Das Boton - Soda Drip

This is one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. I'm not going to leave it up for very long, so git it while the gittin's good.

Track One: Wonton Salad

Track Two: Vic Firth
Track Three: Plotting Insanity
Track Four: Felt It
Track Five: Microscopic
Track Six: Russian Sage
Track Seven: Does The Bat Know Where You Are?
Track Eight: Bon Ham

  2. Sorry, didn't see this 'til now. No, I don't think it was. I heard about a split LP with a UK band called Cissy, but I don't think that actually exists. However this is just as good, if not better, and it's still in print:

Same guitarist. The drummer from Das Boton plays bass in this band and the guy playing drums on this record is named Johnny "Machine" Herndon. He's fucking awesome. Plus, $8 for a new LP is a pretty fair price. There's also this weird 7" that the guitarist put out on Sixgunlover records out of Austin.

It's the same guitarist playing weird country/blues/funk/surf/whatthefuckever on an acoustic guitar. It's pretty good, and it's not like anything I've ever heard before. The flip is some band from Austin. They're pretty good too.

Oh man, I need to start posting again. Apparently I have stuff to write about.

  4. There's also all this stuff, which seems to be pretty easy to find:

Again, same guitarist. There's also an LP of theirs floating around out there somewhere, but I've never seen it for sale anywhere.
